Why should I do it?
As well as reducing your road risk and helping you gain valuable experience and skills, on completion of the course each candidate will be issued with a Pass Plus Certificate. This will allow you to claim the benefits outlined under the Pass Plus Scheme.
To qualify for the Ceredigion grant for the course you must:
- * Be between the ages of 17-25
- * You must have passed in Ceredigion within the last 12 months
- * You must be resident in Ceredigion (student accommodation counts)
How much does it cost?
Through Ceredigion County Council, and made possible by a special road safety grant from the Welsh Government, you pay 20% of the cost of the course. The rest of the cost is covered by the grant. At the time of writing the cost to a student was £20, but please check with CCC for their latest advice.
When you have successfully completed your Pass Plus Cymru training course you will be sent a Pass Plus certificate from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). You’ll be able to use this certificate to claim a motor insurance discount - this can lead to a substantial saving.
